becoming a chemistry teacher with biomedical sciences degree

hi all,

so ive recently graduated and ive been considering becoming a teacher. however if i did, id like to be a chemistry teacher (mostly because all my chemistry teachers at school were useless and id like to improve this teaching!!!

However, I have a degree in biomedical sciences. is this suitable or would I have to be a biology teacher?
I would recommend a ske course first but no reason why you couldn't teach chemistry

I believe as long as you have 50% of your degree modules in chemistry you can apply for a chemistry PGCE.
