Student Finance and Sandwich degree

Pretty soon, 30th June, I begin a 12-month placement as part of my 4-year Sandwich Degree. Having applied for a maintenance loan for this year, I'm wondering when it will be paid.

Does anyone know whether it will be paid in the usual; September, January, April increments or whether, because I effectively start in June, I can ask for a different payment schedule to allow me to afford relocation costs.
