I'll be the judge of that. :colonhash::tongue: Kk, I haven't got Netflix... Idk if I should bother getting it. :moon:

Kk. :h: You did? Dw. :colondollar:  I'm doing mandatory subjects with Citz and Ad Maths... Taking- German, Geography, RS, Textiles, Chinese (Mandarin) + Language Leaders (not a GCSE) :ahee:

Ooh that's so cool, I speak mandarin fluently:wink: How's the GCSE coming along

Or maybe you're a natural chemist  We've finished unit 1 and starting unit 2 next week  (we're edexcel not AQA though). I don't bother reading ahead as I'm probably not going to do it for uni. I'm gunna try get ahead in maths over xmas so I can start STEP prep  We do? Oh you meant at uni xD, yeah I guess  We seem to have pretty similar tastes/aims

I've read that as well! And 'Economics: The User's Guide', '23 things they don't tell you about capitalism' and 'The Price of Inequality' Oh fair enough, I thought you had started going to them  I answered a couple of questions the other day, but that's about it  Nah I haven't actually yet, but apparently it's good to check out as it only requires C1/2 knowledge so I probably will soon

Maybe I am  Ooh, I'm on OCR A, everyone's on different boards here :frown: Thats true  I'm also going to do that, we'll have finished most of C2 by christmas so I'm hoping to start reading through C3/C4 at christmas  I managed to read the whole of the chemistry course :colondollar: We do we do, it's so strange

Whoa! 4 books!? Go do that economics degree, you  I did go to them at the start of the year and then I got lazy  Plus it started getting cold and dark and I figured it wasn't particularly safe/worth it to go home at that time for something I don't yet understand  How'd you find them? Yup, although I hear that people rarely get above 60% in that exam because the questions on the MAT are virtually impossible

You do? Are you Chinese, part Chinese or have you been learning it for ages?:tongue: It's going pretty well, I think I'm need to improve a little more with writing characters- being able to remember them without many cues... So I can write them. :mmm:

How are ASs going? What did you pick? :ahee:

I am Chinese, yes  Noo writing is the best part - although i agree, memorising them all is hard because after a while, you forget and even though you can read the chinese, you won't be able to write it out

They're going well ^^ I chose Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Crit. What are you planning on taking?

Yeah at least you're not OCR B, apparently that's impossible  Same  Really?!?! Did you actually take any of it in? What can I say... great minds think alike!

I've actually changed degree again I think :colonhash: I'm now considering law  The STEP questions were alright, I only answered the easy ones requiring only C1 knowledge  Really? May have to give these a go when I get the chance!

I hear that too, friends at my old school are on OCR B  I did I did, although it's a bit weird when we cover it in lessons and then i realise i've already read up about it  They sure do!

Whaat! Coincidence has it that I wanted to do law for so long, and then this year, I changed my mind to maths and now it's chemistry. What is happening to me :') What made you change your mind?
Same! Tell me when you have a go and how they go, need to find some papers online soon

I kind of want to do everything.. There are degrees I know I definitely wouldn't do like languages and engineering - but I'd definitely go down any kind of pure science route ie. Maths, Chemistry, Natural Sciences. help.

What's Egyptology?

This is why I think we should have an education system like America! That way I could simultaneously study Particle Physics and Ramesses II . . . Ah . . . Will you apply for Natural Sciences at Cambridge?

It's the study of the Ancient Egyptians! I would get to learn Hieroglyphics, which would be awesome. I'm pretty sure I want to stay in academia for as long as possible . . . How about you?

Same :frown: they let you study the most irrelevant subjects together in the USA  Although, Olaves does keep encouraging us to apply to US universities... Are you going to apply for US unis?

Maybe, it does sound like a good idea right now  I looked up Chemistry with Maths courses and there aren't that many unis (that i'm interested in) that do it apart from UCL. The other places that do it are Leeds, Southampton and York. Maybe I'll just stick to maths...

Ooh are you going to do a PhD and become a professor  I'm pretty sure I definitely want to have a job in finance, but I kind of want to get there doing a degree I love/will be interested in rather than a degree I don't particularly enjoy

I don't know if I have the time and effort! Also, I would have no idea where to start and would probably fail the SATs! You?

Don't just stick to the London universities! YORK LOOKS AWESOME! THEY HAVE DUCKS!

I want to be a doctor, but if I get to be a professor then I won't complain! Finance does sound cool, but I think I'd suck at it. I'd prefer to spend my time looking over ancient texts in a library . . . But wouldn't Maths get you there?

Same xD I definitely played with the idea for a while - i thought about taking SATs but in the end, i realised it'd take too much time and effort

I don't like York (please don't hate me )

Ooh, you're going to be so knowledgable about everything  Why would you suck at it  Maths would get me there but I think I said my problem was whether I'd find it interesting for a whole 3 years doing purely just maths

Yes, exactly! Why not? I know that you're a true Londoner . . . I guess I'm Northern at heart. I'm 1/8 Geordie! Not about everything. I will have specialist knowledge in some areas . . . ! I thought you loved Maths? Ooh, how about Maths and Philosophy or something?

I'm not sure why I don't like it xD Well I was born in London and then moved out later so
You're 1/8th Geordie? What  I keep thinking you're Japanese and then I remind myself you're actually half Vietnamese  Well, you'd definitely look knowledgable in everything sitting in those massive libraries digesting all those books! I do like Maths - I just don't know if i like it for the right reasons  Noo, I wouldn't want to do philosophy. Philosophy is interesting but I wouldn't do it at degree level

I was born in London as well! Technically I still live in London. Well, sort of. Yes! And I'm 1/16 Irish and a bit French! Woo! Ha, I can see why you would think that. I keep thinking you're a chemical element . . .

I could be on University Challenge! Ah . . . A dream come true . . . Why not? And apart from your main school subjects, what are you interested in? I WILL FIND A DEGREE FOR YOU!
