I salute you bro

Medicine scares me though, competitiveness and blood don't go together well :nope:
Natural science or philosophy(probably natural science). That's where it's at

Tbh medicine is starting to scare me too with all the fierce competition that comes with it. I'm torn sometimes between my interest for economics and my love for medicine and science. Guess I'll make my final decision in a years time

More te reason to do one today  tbh, I've already completely lost track of the days

Depends on whether or not i do what's smarter to take or what i think I'd fall in love with school if i take-I'm gonna hage to choose by tomorrow as it's induction day so it'll be a spur of the moment thing
Either:
bio,chem,phys,phil,maths or
Phil,psychology,math,english lit, chem/phys

Can you see the uniformality in my options? I'm soo decisive

You still haven't switched geography? You'll get bored...

Don't be put off by it, just rise to the challenge, fly off iof the rife competition and just out do ever last one of those mtherfckers (sorry charlotte  ).
That scares me though, a year-olser me isn't wise/organised/ enough to apply to cambridge, especially for as eccentric as philosophy  it's kinda scarry tbh

How about I'll see how late I can stay up? haha, same, I forget the day and I forget the date

I think I'd lean towards the what you think you'll love one but it's quite a gamble  maybe the spontaneity of your decision will mean you pick the better option  we've already established you're a very decisive person

Don't diss my choices :hand: still sticking with geography although depending on results I may switch to further maths

I find economics interesting because its a subject that concerns everyone in one way or another. Other than that my brother was an economics graduate and I used to read over his work and I loved it. I've always found that the students who want to apply to medicine think they are superior to others (no offence to anyone here) and it really pisses me off. Btw i read a bit of philosophy:biggrin:

Cambridge doesn't offer Chemistry on its own xD If I do natural science, I can do modules of chemistry and eventually specialise in my 3rd year

Ahh I see! Sounds like a great idea  have you always had a fascination with sciences or is it something that you've developed over GCSEs??

Damn, the pressure's on, let's do this!

Ahh but my future is only guaranteed if I can get into med school in the first place so.. but I can see how that'd make your decision difficult. Have you researched potential career choices with the degree? Philosophy right? Or maybe look into options where you do one main degree but have a mini degree on the side - I think it's called a joint honours or something? And look into universities to see if they can offer something like that

You should have wenton and gone deep with it, you could have persuaded me for it  it sounds pretty cool now  i always just saw it as working woth the boring section of numbers-like statistcs  but that sinhle dea of it being about a whole is pretty enlightening , thanks

I only know 1 med hope-to-be irl and their just driven but lack passion in my eyes, they more like it's a "good pay and still science so it's semi interesting so it's the wisest choice hence I'll take this course", those types of med students piss off  i have yet to meet stuck up es though but i could easily see it being true :/ but i also know some that are prety cool and driven to help so it balances put i guess

I l've read 2full psychology texts and also two philosophy one, I'm hoping to read one philosophy book a week from a reccomended reading lkistvfor philosophy  it interest me so much, soem stuff goes over my head but i love that!it just captivates me in a way no other subject can :/

Accurate username! Competition shouldn't scare you, if anything it should be a motivational factor. It's good to at least have an interest in something! most people I know, don't even know what they like. You still have aaaages to decide  who knows!

Don't be silly! Feel free to stay here, you seem nice. Also, Durham and a few other unis combine arts and sciences I think? I've seen people do maths and philosophy before!

I REAAAAALY want an A but I can just sense that I didn't do as well as I needed to get at least 120/200 for an A. :frown: I think I got near it, but just not enough so I'll still be on a B. Ah well, who knows, I'll see on results day.

It's good, and enough to get into Maths A-Level at my first choice college so I can't complain. I'd be happy with a B since I used to be horrendous at Maths, I just think I could have done better. :frown:

Literature is the best subject, after Comptuing/ICT. :daydreaming: (Sorry, I love Computing!)

I'll let you off since it's computing. You might have picked up extra marks for working out and stuff so you never know! Don't stress about the grade too much, as long as it is enough to get you up to the next step then you're fine

What sort of books do you like?
