For my first date we were rather spontaneous and we ended up in a rather lovely restaurant by the main streets in the city centre of Milan called "Pane and Vino". After that we went for a gelato, took a little walk around and chilled around in Colonne for a bit before heading to the train station as he had a flight to catch.
where did you go on your first date?

We went to a rib and wings place and ate ourselves into a coma.
Can't beat a girl who on the first date is willing to eat a wings with their hands and get messy! -
Have you met her much before? If no, then a movie is a good idea as you still get to spend time together but it isn't as intimate and won't be pressured to do lots of talking to each other. In my opinion, i'd rather go for a movie on a first date than a meal. Leave the meal for the next one.. Or you could combine the two. Go to see a film then go and get something to eat after?
A different idea is chilling out in a park if the weather is nice. I did that on my first date with the guy I am now gong out with.. Then you get intimacy but in a relaxed atmosphere

My fiancé and I had our first date at a pub

Posted from TSR Mobile -
I usually offer pub and/or curry. Informal.
-
He asked if I wanted to go out some time, I said yes and gave him my email address (didn't have a mobile)
Our first actual date was seeing Stephen K Amos at the Hexagon in Reading, then we went for drinks afterwards. I think it was a really good idea as the comedy naturally put us in a cheerful, relaxed mood (well, as relaxed as you can be when you're nervous about your hot date :P) and gave us some natural conversation topics afterwards. -
Normally a couple of pubs then back to theirs or mine.
You don't tell them that "you like them" because you're not 8 years old. -
Our first date was to the safari park which was great until we broke down in the lion exzibit! We're still together 6 years later so it did the trick

Well i have worked with her for a year but we have started talking more in person and then like i said a few months ago she added me on facebook but no one else from work and i have messaged her.
I am liking the idea of us just going to the park for the day and have a meal during the and then we could go for a movie later. Now just to get round and tell her how i feel. -
I've had three first dates, two that turned into relationships. The first dates were:
1. Went to my house, had dinner and watched a movie together. Quite standard because we were both young.
2. Took her go-karting! And then we had a bite to eat. I had so much fun with her. Best date ever!
3. Ice cream in hyde park, then walk along the river thames in the evening - was really nice! -
This is when I lived in Washington DC at the time.
We went to grab sushi then see the White House when it was snowing and then to the movies.
The other, one summer, we went to a coffee shop, museum hopping, and paddle boating on the basin near the monuments.
Went to get lunch and then went over to his house to chat and then his dog went missing but we found her eventually, stressful haha. -
The beach. It's also where we had our first kiss, aahh better days...
-
Went to a park and sat on the bench for around 3-4 hours and literally made out and cuddled for the whole time. Not exactly romantic but we were ling distance and were dying to kiss and hold each other.
Crazy when I think about it because it was January and it was freezing.
Regardless we are still together 10 months later. -
After a week of talking online non-stop, me and the most amazing girl I've ever met decided to meet up and go to the cinema, after we went to get a few drinks in a bar and ended up staying there until late, although looking back I wish I suggested going to get food as we were both STARVING by the end of the night (IDIOT!) lol. You don't really need to worry about telling someone that you like them, they will know if you like them or not by your body language, although it was on our third date we went away to Dublin for the day and I told her I loved her on the train home, my nerves were shot but it was amazing. We've been together for 10 months now

The last first date I went on was in Cafe Rouge. The waitress was my date's schoolfriend who was also 7 months pregnant. Awkward.

Those sound amazing - quite like the dates you see in hollywood movies(Original post by Anonymousmouse)

It's best you go somewhere where you can talk, so I wouldn't do cinema till like second date :P. I went on a first date the other day, just went to a pub by the river, gave us a couple of hours to just talk, get to know each other better
