Applying to Leeds university?

I'm interested in doing a joint honours at Leeds in Japanese and Russian. It says that the typical offer is AAB.

I don't know my AS level results yet, but I'm assuming they're something between AAC and ABC, and I'm quite confident that by the end of next year I can up them overall to A* (Film Studies) A (English Lit Lang) B (Philosophy)...

I got an A* in IGCSE German; A in IGCSE Latin
Overall my (I)GCSEs are: 4 A*s; 3 As; 1 B

My personal statement will probably be pretty strong: I write novels and films; I've made a film; went alone to Berlin age 15; I've done lots of work experience with a film company; love reading Japanese and Russian novels...

I was home-educated between years 9-11 for my GCSEs.

However one thing I haven't done (not having the opportunity at home) is things like Duke of Edinburgh or anything like that... I might do some volunteer work at an animal shelter somewhere in the summer, but I won't have done any of those sorts of awards or anything...

So if I get the AAB, would I be a strong candidate? What if I got A*A*C?
