Straight TC Application or Vac scheme?

Is it worth making straight training contract applications?

Or should I wait for the vac schemes to open up and apply for them?

I fear that firms don't really welcome straight training contract applications and prefer to hire amongst their vac schemers.

Some only take from VS - VS are a recruitment tool. I wouldn't let that stop you though - you might find it helpful to have a round of TC applications to hone your style a bit and get used to the whole thing - if you manage to get some IVs/assessment days, then these can only be good - a) you might get a TC or b) if not, you will learn from the experience.

It CAN take a little while to start getting anywhere! Unless you KNOW you are up their street
