what is loft insulation?
where would you use it ?
baisicly everythin you know on insulation and heat moves

It's like a mineral-based wool that comes in a roll. Sometimes with a reflective jacket. You put it in your loft between the joists.
Loft insulation is made of an insulating material (often fibreglass) which is laid flat onto the ceiling and between the roof. The insulating material works in a similar way to cavity wall insulation - the insulating material reduces the heat loss through convection and conduction, as the heat cannot escape through the material (conduction), and the material also prevents air from circulating inside the loft (convection).
