Well done! I think it is too low for Kings, which tends to put their cut off score at 700+ every year! THOUGH, aberdeen looks at UKCAT, and the average UKCAT score of students they accepted was ~620! Good Luck

Hey guys, I'm considering applying as a graduate to Dentistry and have a few questions.

How does financing work for post-grads? Can you take out student/tuition loans? Is there a limit?

I recently got ABBab at A-level but I want to retake a few modules and apply for Biomedical Engineering to get into Dentistry

Can I apply with a Biomedical Engineering degree? Is it better to study a BSc in Biochemistry?
I'm in the process of contacting all the uni's about that.

Best of luck to everyone!

Unfortunately Peninsula no longer do graduate entry :frown:
I would like to do undergrad, it's just finding the funding for it!

Yes, I thought they didn't anymore!

The tuition fee is an absolute pain!

Hi there,

With graduate entry you have the fund the £4000 in year one and the rest is paid via student loans and NHS bursaries.
If you can I would apply for undergrad, it's easier to get into and there is student finance in place. If you do undergrad dentistry as a second degree you must fund the tuition fees yourself (Thats £9000+ a year).

You can apply with a biomedical engineering degree, I would personally suggest Biomedical Sciences or Biochemistry though. Though Universities will accept biomedical engineering, I think Biomedical Sciences will be more relevant.

I hope this helps, don't hesitate to ask if you need any help.
Good Luck
