I was wondering, what happens for that year?, Logically i think it's like an exchange but i could be dead wrong, I was wondering if anyone who knows more about this or has done this can share their opinion, since, after looking at some of the locations, it looks really awesome

I've not done it personally. I went for a year in industry so I just moved away and worked a normal job for a while but sending some work back to the university every so often.

Had a few friends do study in Europe, study in Aus and study in US. It is basically like an exchange. You'll just go over there for a year, and attend the American university and study some modules over there. There's usually some restrictions set by your university that mean you might have to take certain ones, so you're not behind when you return. Everyone in my year has just about finished, and they all seem to have had a good time!
