Is this an independent clause?

"Look at the dog."

It seems like it is but doesn't an independent clause need a subject? The dog is the object and look is the verb, right? Thanks!

The subject (you) is implied through the imperative, no?

Thanks, that makes sense

I did have another question if anyone can help. What tense/form is this sentence: "He had become bored with his previous job."

I thought it was past perfect but doesn't that need to be a past event before another past event?

That's what it is. Only the other past event doesn't happen to be included in the example.
