The Student Room Group

In the two months that you have between now and university, what will you be doing?

My list includes:

Loaning out course related books from the library and starting to dissect them one by one;

Watching course related videos on YouTube;

Sending out CVs everywhere to get some part-time work in the interim even though I have a job right now although it doesn’t pay much;

Trying desperately to quell my insecurities that I am not smart enough for this master’s course;

Getting a new passport because my old one expired three years ago.

What does yours include?

Ahh leave the work till Uni! These are the precious two months that aren't going to come back any time soon - two months filled with nooo immediate worries! The rest of life will be Uni work, revision (repeat x3)...graduating...getting a job...working.

I'm currently working (on my gap year so been working for 11 months now) but the job involves travelling and a fair amount of time for me to do what I want :smile: Also doing some travelling, filing for a second patent and making an app :smile:

Earning money and going through topics from my previous course in brief so I've not forgotten anything when I start uni in September!

And obviously, socialising.
Already been up to lots, but I have a wedding to go to on Friday, then in Bordeaux from 29/7 - 11/8, results day and likely going out with friends, then friend from Bordeaux staying with me 19-31 August. Also, between that, working and starting to read my course books (French and Spanish) which I have pretty much all of already. Good to get them second hand now because I've had troubled finding them online, and if I don't end up getting in I can always sell them on later next month! :biggrin:

I feel as if I have had a really good balance between work and summertime this year.

Loitering wit tha homies, having random fun here in California, city hopping, shopping, beach, body mod like getting new piercings, watching friends getting blasted (tatted), avoiding the cops :indiff: LAPD doesn't play.
Working in a pharmacy for ~40 hours a week. :tongue:

Absolutely nothing :smile: Just waiting till end of August to go to an event at my university for a week then I officially start on the 27th.
Doing piss all, other than some part time work (stewarding). I enjoy being lazy and not doing anything till results day :wink:

Working in the dairy research unit on my campus, doing background research for my dissertation and doing some background reading for a couple of modules I haven't taken the previous ones too.

Trying to get ahead with Algebra 2A as it stressed me out ridiculously last time and it'd be nice to have a head start.

Also, trying to make SFE realise that I haven't been overpaid £1500 so that I can actually eat next year.

- Sorting out SFE.
- Saving money.
- Buying things for Uni & Accommodation.
- Other preparation.

Working at the university, looking ahead at next year's courses and then a two-week holiday (although our summer vacation is closer to 4 months, not two).

Oh god they decided you were overpaid? was that from last year? :/ that's quite a massive difference.

Yeah, it was my last lot of grant.
Everyone is so organised. I've been on holiday in New Zealand for a month. And now I'm in debt, and trying to work my way out.
- Trying to find a temporary/seasonal job (pretty sure I've failed so will look to volunteer instead)
- Sort out bedroom, eg removing old school books
- Start preparing for uni eg buying stuff, sorting out budget with parents, start packing
- Organise student bank account.
- Get all my CDs uploaded onto my computer so I can leave them and their cases at home.
- Sort out my provisional license for ID purposes!
- Sell stuff on ebay
- Do some exercise. XD
