C3 Product Rule Factorising Help

Hey I'd appreciate it if anyone could go over my working for this question. The answer in the back of the book is wrong and we've been thrown in the deep end for this topic so just a quick check would be much appreciated! :smile:

You could've gone one step further and factorised the xx out.

y=x22x+1    dydx=x(5x+2)2x+1y = x^2 \sqrt{2x+1} \implies \dfrac{\text{d}y}{\text{d}x} = \dfrac{x(5x+2)}{\sqrt{2x+1}}

your working is fine but you should get out of the habit of writing δ\delta insted of d.
δyδx \frac{\delta y}{\delta x} is not the same thing as [tex ]\frac{\text{d}y}{\text{d}x}
