Interview for lost passport?

Hey, I applied for a new passport approximately 5 weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. My dad applied for a new one at the same time as me and his came after about 3 weeks. However, his was a standard renewal whereas mine is a replacement for a lost passport. I have been trying to chase it, but with no success.

Will it eventually come on its own or will they contact me for an interview? (Since it says on their website I may have to go to an interview.) Do they always do interviews for people who have lost their passports or is it just sometimes?

I am supposed to be going on holiday on friday but I am starting to accept that this may not be the case lol
