UCAS clearing after resit exams?

Have a few resits in the second year of my 4 year undergrad.

If I fail one and get kicked out (results are due out by late August), is it possible to flip straight in to UCAS clearing and go to a different university? Preferably one with second year entry so I won't need to repeat first year (which I passed)

In theory yes although clearing is mainly about yr 1 entry. I would suggest you contact universities you're interested in NOW so they have time to consider your non-standard application before clearing kicks off and they're too busy. If you pass the resits then you just cancel the transfer and stay where you are
