Starting AQA AS Chemistry this September - What books?

Hello,

I'm going to be starting AS Chemistry this September and I want to purchase the books now to just have a scan of the content/to be used when I start the subject. (I'll also be using the same type of books, but swap Chemistry with the Biology ones for Biology).

Does anyone have any suggestions? These are the one's that I'm thinking of buying:

CGP: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AS-Level-Chemistry-Complete-Revision-Practice/dp/1847621236/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405963600&sr=8-1&keywords=cgp+aqa+as+chemistry
Student book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-Chemistry-AS-Students-Book/dp/074878280X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405963616&sr=8-1&keywords=aqa+as+chemistry
Student Support Book, Foundation Chemistry Unit 1: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Student-Support-Materials-AQA-Foundation/dp/0007268254/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1405963658&sr=8-4&keywords=aqa+as+chemistry

I was wondering if anyone used these and would be able to give their opinion on them/any advice (such as x isn't on the specification anymore, or x doesn't cover the whole topic on this part etc).

Thanks

To be honest, I felt that the AQA student book (in conjunction with a-levelchemistry.co.uk) is more than enough. I don't think you'll get a lot of extra help from additional resources.

Thank you very much! Yup I've got a-levelchemistry saved on my bookmarks too
The student book is what you'll be given as your textbook though, so in my opinion, I wouldn't waste £20 on it.

Amazon sold used ones (Like new) for £0.01 and with £2.80 postage and packaging - so I thought that it was great! Especially since I'm doubtful that my school would give us one.

I've done C1 maths prep and maybe I'll do some more, but I want to do a little chemistry and biology prep too. You?
