Worst advice you have ever received?

Following from the other thread, originality level 8000.

Anyway I'll go first.

"Nate, don't worry your regen will make sure you're okay!"

[Backstory was on the mezzanine level of floor - and was playing with BB guns, proceed to jump and break my leg and was injured for 12 weeks]

Your turn.

Just be honest with her..she will understand.

"Just look people in the eye and smile. Then you'll feel happy" - My psychologist, when I was severely depressed a few years ago.
"If someone is hitting you, abusing you, put your hands in your pockets, close your eyes, and count to 10"
- One of my Primary School Teachers

The most ridiculous advice I had ever heard. Certainly have never used, nor saw anyone else carry out this stupidity!

I remember similar advice, when I was in school - "Just be yourself", that did not go down as I thought it would.

Tell him how you feel. Regret that day.
Take the red pill.
Lies always come out in the end, it's better to just be truthful :unimpressed:

I'm still waiting for the tons of lies I've told to come bite me on my bottom :teehee:

being yourself saves you from far more problems than you think. people pleasing is a slippery slope and we all know how much people hate two-facedness
