University of Chester - Term Dates 2014

Unfortunately there seems to have been some confusion regarding term dates.

We can confirm that Induction Week starts on Monday 29th September and students can move into accommodation on Sunday 28th September. There's more information about induction on our website: http://www.chester.ac.uk/induction

Please note Nursing and Midwifery students start on Monday 22nd September, more information can be found online: http://www.chester.ac.uk/nursingmidwifery2014

We hope that helps

Hi Chester [I don't know how to greet you]

It says on my UCAS that my course will start on the 23rd of September?
What does this mean?

Also, it seems that some people has placed their deposit for their accommodation and I have not received any information on this. I'm coming to Chester straight from my holiday in Vietnam so is there anything I can do to make sure all my dates are correct and I can move into my accommodation when I arrive?

Hello

As long as you are not a Nursing and Midwifery student Induction Week is w/c 29th September and students can move into accommodation on Sunday 28th September. Unfortunately UCAS have put the wrong dates up so please ignore them, there's more information online about Induction http://www.chester.ac.uk/induction

You will receive more information about accommodation after A Level results day which is 14th August. Keep checking your email after this date as that is when you will find out which accommodation you have been allocated and it is at this point that you will need to pay your accommodation deposit. There is more information on our accommodation pages http://www.chester.ac.uk/node/24666.

I hope that helps.

Have a great time in Vietnam

Will the information be delivered to my home address in England or via email? If by post, is there a way that I could change to be delivered via email online? I am abroad and I'm planning to return to the UK on the 28th September and move into my accommodation straight away.

All the information about accommodation will be sent via email. The Accommodation Team will send all the emails to the email address you used in your UCAS Application.

Hi Chester,
I'm coming in September to study psychology. I received the welcome pack and was made aware that the year doesn't finish till the middleish of July, I was planning on taking part in travelling to America for 3 month with an organisation. But I have to be available by around the middle-late June. Therefore I was wondering weather the term dates were the dates we have to move out of accommodation and will have finished exams and 1st year by the end of June or whether it is mandatory to attend and be in campus till the middle of July?

Thanks in advance 😊
Hi, most 1st years will have finished their assessments by the 2nd week of June. More details are available at http://www.chester.ac.uk/about/the-university/term-dates-2014-15. Worth double checking with your programme leader when you arrive though
