Hi, a quick question about registration. Do the smart cards have our photo on them if so do we have to send one beforehand or do they just take one on the day?

I'm living at home and I was wondering if there's any way I'll be able to check whether places are available or even sign up for the daily activities during Freshers' Week without going in, in person each day?

Hey, thanks for getting in touch

Unfortunately you would have to come in in person, as to sign up for an activity your wristband must be scanned.

Sorry about that,

Rachel

Wondering what makes the perfect Personal Statement when you're applying to Newcastle University?

Get the inside info from our experts during this live webinar on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81zZ0tFRvZg)

The panel includes recent graduates from Newcastle University as well as Academic Selectors from our Science Agriculture and Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences faculties, who read and assess the personal statements and applications that come in to the university.

To ask a question just tweet with the hashtag #NCLanswers or post to this event wall. We'll then pose the questions to our panel during the live broadcast.

Hello there , may I ask you a question ? I am an international student and I am planning to apply for a postgraduate course ( Engineering Geology ) . My concern is , that I will be taking the IELTS test some time in January - early February , although I want to apply for the program earlier than that . So my question is , am I allowed to send the results of the test sometime after I have submitted my application , and if so what would the maximum time be ?

Thanks in advance
I'm a bit confused about your liberal arts course or the course where you combine up to three subjects. Please could you shed some light on this? Thanks.

Hi I'm a current first year student. I am staying at home and commuting to uni daily. I was wondering if I would be able to apply to get uni accommodation now or is it too late?

I have a 3hr round trip and it's not too bad. I still manage to go to society events and stuff.

If I were to commute to Newcastle, my trip would be around 3 hours as well. It just seems too much for me :frown:. But I think I would personally rather stay in halls .
