Environmental Science

Does anyone study Environmental Science? If so what is it like? What field courses are available? I only saw the Lake District mentioned is there others?
Fieldwork depends on what modules you are taking.

First year, Global climate change gets a half day in the Yorkshire Dales, Hydrology you go to White scar caves for the afternoon and Chem, Pollution and Human health you will go to the Lakes for an afternoon.

Second year there's trips to the lakes for five days and then other day trips.

The big residential trips are to Etna (but I dont think you will be able to go on this if you are starting this year as the member of staff is leaving), Slapton, can go away for your dissertation if you arrange it as well. Oh Oregon in the states is another big residential trip if you want.

Are you doing straight ES? If you take the reccommended Biology module (105) you will do several field trips with that module as well.
