Parking at Newman University

Hi

i will be moving into halls of residence in Newman university this September however I live an hour away and am planning to drive there at the start of the week and drive home over weekends. The website says the following:

The University has a strict car parking code as a consequence of previous complaints from the residents of Bartley Green. All students are required to comply with this code or risk disciplinary action.

Residential Students
All students who reside in Halls of Residence on site are not permitted to bring cars to the University College.

Bartley Green is a quiet residential area and cars may be parked along the streets as long as the Traffic Laws and the Highway Code on parking are observed.
Has anyone attended Newman and had experience with parking there? Any insight would be appreciated.
