Hi this question isn't really job specific, I'm looking to apply for a job that advertises a salary of £X amount, though the job is only for 8 months of the year.

Can anyone help, does this mean the salary is split between the 8 months or does it mean it is split across the 12 months but you only get paid for the months you work.

Meaning your not really getting that salary as your losing 4 months of £X?
