Arm pain after arm workout?

I just got back into weights after a break of about 5 months or so.

I have really sore arms now.

It is right above the elbow on both triceps.

At first I assumed it was just DOMS, but the pain is still there, I don't think I usually get DOMS for this long (I did the session on Monday and nothing since).

Also it feels slightly different to DOMS. It feels more like a dead arm. As if someone punched me in the back of my arm.

Like if I bend my arm, like a bicep curl movement and hold it, it is quite sore. Not unbearable pain, just really uncomfortable and sore.

Any advice?

It's tennis elbow.
Stop lifting heavy and only do it 3 times a week and not so much.

Personally i'd wait 9 months since I had the same thing.

Also when you do push ups, spared your fingers out.

Drink cod liver oil every day.

Stretch out those muscles every day as well.

Watch this.

I thought tennis elbow was the upper forearm?

I have that aswell in my right arm. Tendons got buggered from over training.

Probably just overdid it on the tris last time. I've had tricep doms last for a week before. Also the fact it's on both arms suggests it's more likely to be routine doms than a proper injury. The chances of getting snap city on both arms at once is pretty damn low. I'd keep training as normal tbh (what I do with doms), go a bit lighter if required.

The pain when doing a curl-like movement is just because you're stretching the muscle.

It is not tennis elbow, don't worry.

Yeah I definitely feels like it could be tendons.

How long have you had it for?

wait I thought you said it felt muscular?

All I'd say is the chances of developing a tendon injury in both arms at the same time is pretty low

Over a year. It doesn't really go away. If I stop lifting for a long time it will get be fine. Then when I start lifting again it comes back.

I haven't seen anyone about it yet though or done much research about it

is tendon damage from overworking. it'll stop in about a week or so, focus on other parts until it goes away. Have the same thing in both my arms at the mo

Yeah it does. It would be the upper part of the tendon though, close to the muscle. Now that I think about it and follow the pain with my finger it is actually higher up the tricep than I thought it was.

That said it doesn't hurt anywhere near as bad with I extend my arms fully and tense my triceps. The pain when I do a curling motion is much greater.

No your muscles and tendons are all linked together in a system, just do what I said or suffer.
Stop doing 1000 sets of curls

It was my first session of anything let alone arms in 5 months. I don't even train arms in fact.

I did mostly triceps that day also. I'd say 3/4 of the workout was triceps and the other 1/4 biceps.
You don't train arms but did a workout comprised entirely of arms?
Could b lactic acid building up
