Peado hysteria is everywhere in the U.K!!

I saw a little girl being offered sweets last week by a really old woman like 90 years old her mum grabbed the little girl, pulled her away & yelled at her to not talk to strangers. I mean wtf a 90 year old woman is really going to be a depraved peadophile? I also got chatting to an elderly neighbour of mine who's wife had died, his daughter had no children and he missed interacting with children (not in a dodgy way) but he felt unable to ever talk to kids because of possibly being labelled a peadophile. Me my fiance and his brother were approached by a little boy in a shopping mall who had lost his parents, my fiance and his brother asked me to speak to him and walk with him as they didn't want to be possibly called peados :frown: It's getting too much in this country hardly anyone is a peadophile like 0.01% of the population just because you happen to like spending time with kids doesn't make you a peadophile!!!! It's just so weird because in other countries I've visited it's entirely normal to speak to and interact with children.

I just ignore it to be honest. If a kid wants to talk to me, I'll talk back. They may not be fully developed adults capable of conversing at an adult level, but they sure as hell deserve respect.
If a stranger offer my future kid sweets I'd not let the kid eat it you ncan't trust strangers and what if the kid couldn't eat sweets for whatever reason or the patent just didn't want him or her to have sweets
Its honestly ridiculous. Its because of prats like this why so many teachers are living in fear and scared and why you have to join a union to be protected against any false claims by children or parents.

Some stupid woman in TESCO let her poor child wander off and he was crying so my cousin took him back to her and she went on a rant at him. In the end I told the security guard to get her to shut up or I'll be informing the police and use the CCTV to get child services involved. Disgusting how she tried to blame her own pathetic parenting and child negligence on my cousin. This was last year. Too wrapped up in their shopping and bloody chatting to look after their bloody children and then have the audacity to go pointing the finger at others.

The mum did nothing wrong, there's no harm with being too careful when it comes to strangers.
It's sad, isn't it? I get fed up with stuff like this more and more every day.

Yeah I was talking to a friend of mine and she said to me 'If I had a daughter I would never let her wear skirts outside because of the creeps around' (she was talking about kids aged 0-13ish). It actually annoyed me, her statement and the fact that the media scares people so much. Wish people could just be happy and optimistic rather than depressingly scarily pessimistic.
You might as well just never leave your house because then nothing horrible will happen to you right?? Ugh

Even when I was a toddler my dad would never let me wear a bikini at the beach and this carried on all throughout my childhood as he said there were nasty men around, he kept me covered up in t shirts and if I wore dresses I had to wear leggings with them. I was always worned about strangers and sweets though and when I was about 11 or 12 I started talking to a guy on webcam, I didn't do anything but my dad called the police saying I'd been groomed. I do think its a good idea to warn children against strangers though.
I used to shop in a particular supermarket in another country. One day a young child actually inside the store vanished without trace and was never seen again. People are right to be extremely wary.
Completely agree, I think it's ridiculous.

Teaching us young not to talk to strangers is a great way to divide and rule especially in a world which has fought back against traditional divisions like racism religion etc

And when a significant number of MPs and others have been using their position to abuse children (and let's face it, are we really going to chase the MPs or is it just going to fade away so we can get back to reading The Sun and bashing immigrants and layabouts on Jobseeker's) you can't help but despair at the hypocrisy of it all.

So because a stranger snatched a child we should assume all strangers are going to do so? Ridiculous backward logic from the middle ages. People have let the fear and hysteria take control of them. That doesn't mean be unsafe, stupid and let your child roam free but there comes a point where you go overboard and become too safety conscious which actually negates.

Should we label all politicians potential pedophiles then too? Using your logic id never let a politician or BBC employee near one of my children which is ridiculous given the risks are minimal.

Spot on. Its also the capitalist attitudes manifesting though where everyone is out for themselves. Trust of others has gone completely out of the window for many because unless someone is doing something of monetary value to you many will deem you worthless. Community focus and collectiveness has been delivered a blow by the ruling elite. Divided people are also far less likely to fight together and rise up against the eatablishment when it does wrong. Its a surefire way to stop a revolt and potential revolution. Social control, as you right stayed, has been around for decades and by injecting fear into so many people they can do it en masse.

If they did a test now of how many people actually knew and regularly spoke to extended members of their family and neighbours etc it would be far lower than in the days of Old Labour socialism. Now we have a world which revolves around money as opposed to people. Its a sick society.

Hollywood is full of kiddy fiddlers anywhere that has wealth and power you will find abusers who largely get away with it.

Why does an old lady offering a girl sweets mean she's attracted to small green vegetables?

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Peadophile
I'm glad my parents never had to deal with this issue. They were fully aware that no paedo would ever be attracted to me :cry2:

On a serious note, I know what you mean. My dad (who is brilliant with kids) had some random little girl (about 8 or 9) start chatting to him on a train once. He said that her parents didn't seem to be close by either so he just tried his best to ignore her for fear of being labelled the P-word.
If people fiddled with themselves as kids then they wouldn't end up like this.
It's because of Peadophilia rampant and covered up in the British establishment and treated like a conspiracy for years. BNP campaigners finally broke through the cover up;

Then there was the establishment cover up of Asian peadophiles apparently out of fear of being branded racist:

Then there is the Max Clifford, the UK main man in PR (lies, spin & doublespeak) jailed for peadophilia.

I volunteer at a youth club where there there are lots of young people and initially I'm shown a lot of curiosity and watched carefully by parents when I'm around their children but when they become aware of my position then their stance loosens a lot.

Suppose though, better to be safe than sorry around children who don't know better (>10)
