Civil engineering - maths?

I am wanting to do civil engineering at uni in a year and i take maths, physics, biology. I am thinking of taking AS further maths (fp1,fp2,fp3) as my teacher said my first yr will be alot easier =). Just wondered what maths is you actually do in the degree and do I really need to take it? Thx
Why take fp2 and fp3 for AS further maths when you can do easier modules like s1 and m2? My advice would be to read through further maths but don't bother doing any exams. You don't want any more stress.
Further maths would be incredibly useful for engineering. I would recommend it over biology.

Thx, for the advice btw I cant drop biology, my teacher advised me to do all further pure modules =) as she said it will give me a very good start for my degree, if i work incredibly hard!!!!

I just wondered (if you do civil engineering) what the level of maths is involved? Thank you!!!!
