Seasonal Crushes & Long term crushes?

Do any of you find that you can never really get over a long term crush? As in a 1 year +. Even when you've had a gf/bf, you still want that person? or even when your relationship ends you still fall back onto that long term crush? Whereas with a seasonal crush, you tend to forget about them quickly?

I've never had that, I've always ended up with the person I liked or just gone off them.

I'd forgotten what it's like having a crush until recently. It's incredibly frustrating haha
