You tell us to share our experiences of being friendzoned......yet you don't share yours?

When I was still trying to make myself straight, I had my sights on my neighbour.
We were good friends and were both JWs so I assumed naively we'd both end up together and I'd eventually develop feelings.
She always used to come over in skimpy clothing and occasionally she'd just wear a tee. It did nothing for me but I assumed it was a good thing she felt so comfortable around me.
Experience
Me: Lisa, I have something to tell you.
Lisa: Go on.
Me: It's so hard for me to say. Can you let me count to ten and suddenly say it?
Lisa: Sure
Me: Keep ur head turned. 1....10. For the longest time, I've had a crush on you.
Lisa: Awww, that's funny. You're such a good friend.

Obviously, we wouldn't have worked. I'm gay and she's a girl. But still, rejection .
