I was wondering if during Fresher's Week we got a chance to sign up/send off for our NUS cards full of discounted goodness?

If not, where can I go and what can I do about getting one? Do I have to wait until after registration to be eligible?

You can pick one up at anytime from SSid in the Union,

your ucard is an NUS card though, so in shops you don't need one of the money off ones, but if you plan on using it on the internet you need to get one from ssid as you need the code that's on it.

What more is there to say? In all honesty ive never seen student discounts online! Everywhere (not only in sheffield) accepts your Ucard as NUS, and it even says its NUS on the back of the card so you'll be fine. Just dont go too crazy with spending or youll have no money for food!

The only 2 I know of are if you want to order an orange student contract off the internet you need one, and HMV.co.uk gives you 10% off with a code.
