How do you get predicted grades if your an external student?

will I have to just ask my college for them?

If you are taking A2 you could use your AS grades. Or you could just predict them yourself, obviously you'll have to be honest.

If you're doing lessons anwhere (even with a private tutor) then they should do it. If you're completely self teaching then you can predict yourself, but do discuss it with whoever writes the reference as they have to sign to say that the information is valid.

Obviously it is tempting to predict yourself really high grades, but if you're not working at that level it could backfire as you may get an offer based on those grades.

Predict your own grades? Heh, that's a first. I always thought that your referee is the person responsible for that, although he might not be the person to do so...
