Bristol Applicants for 2015 Entry!

If you're applying to Bristol University this Autumn (i.e awaiting AS results) or a mature student awaiting 2015 Entry, then this thread is for you!

I'm applying for MChem Chemistry with Industrial Experience. What about you guys?

You should also check out the new connect pages to find other people who have applied for the same courses as you at Bristol and all the other universities you apply to.

If you could get connecting that would be great! It's an awesome way to meet other people on your future courses or just see what past successful students had for their university

I'm applying for Philosophy, although Bristol are one of the few Universities I like that offer Philosophy with French, which is kinda tempting, but I think I'll stick with straight philosophy.

I love the city, been there loads for football and the Uni is awesome

French and philosophy are both awesome

Would you mind using the connect pages, linked above? We really want to get loads of users on to make it as effective as possible.

Any overlap? Or are history and ancient totally separate courses?

Not really, they're two very different courses and department. The MA in Classics has a strong language component to it so if you'd like to be more History-focused I recommend a place like KCL or RHUL.

They're different courses but within modules there's some overlap. It depends on the uni, some are really focused on modern history and others aren't.

Really? I'm awful with the older stuff

I definitely didn't think it was good fun when I was learning about public health in 1800s Britain

What other unis are you thinking of applying to? I'm pretty sure that Bristol is my most ambitious one.

Edinburgh, Leeds, Exeter, Nottingham. I keep changing my mind.
I looked around Warwick and I really disliked it for some reason. But that was more to do with Coventry than the actual uni

Good luck with Cambridge btw
