Working out Degree classification?

Hi guys just wondering how a university would work out your degree classification. Especially on modules that are double weighted, so for example one module might be worth 10 CAT points but another might be worth 20.

How do you get round this and work it out?

Multiply your percentage achieved in the module by the number of credits. Add all these numbers up and divide by the number of credits.

For example, if you achieved 70% in a 20 credit module (70*20 = 1400) and 60% in a 30 credit module (60*30 = 1800). Add these together and divide by total credits (3200/50 = 64% average).
