September 2014. ADVICE NEEDED URGENTLY

Hey guys!

I'm trying to make a decision about what to study at art college in September. I'm not smart enough to do Alevels (exams are not my thing) but id like to do a Btec extended diploma.

I have the choice between film and fashion.

I would love to do film because I'm good at it but its same old same old and its not that new even though I love it

However fashion design and journalism really interests me and i would love to know more. Also the summer work they set me for fashion is really fun.

What do you think I should do? I could use some advice. I have to make a choice by Friday next week.

If I were in your position I'd try an answer a few questions:

1) Which do you enjoy more?
2) What would you do with each of them in terms of long-term career plans, which one will get you to where you want to be?
3) Which are you better at?

If you can answer these it might help, the main thing is enjoyment, there's no point studying something, where it's an A-level, a BTEC or an NVQ if you don't really enjoy it, because you just won't get the work done. Hope this helps.
