Advanced Higher Physics and Chemistry investigations

Does anyone have any good and non-exhausted ideas for the physics and chemistry investigation?

Physics perhaps properties of lasers, mass:charge ratio of an e- or finding the magnetic field of the earth? I would do standing wavers however my brother did that two years previously and I don't want to be accused of any plagiarism (not that I would).

Chemistry I'm not sure of; there are 33 of us doing AH chem this year and I really don't want to go into the overdone wine acidity or paracetemol.
Perhaps something more physics based?
Or maybe along the lines of Leisengang rings?
I really want to do something incredibly interesting and perhaps impressive?

Any ideas? Thank you

An interesting physics investigation lets you find the speed of light from putting cheese in a microwave. You could compare this to a much more scientific experiment (probably measuring the passage of light through various media of fixed lengths).
