Certified copy of AS an A level Results

What does a certified copy mean exactly?
Do i have to get my Provisional results stamped, signed by the School or something?

Do i get a reference or a teacher to sign it?

I'm an international student and not from the UK, if that changes anything.

Any replies are appreciated.
Thanks

Might be best to ask the people who are asking you for this.

Probably the provisional results statement would be okay, but like I said it's best to ask.

I think certified means when you get sent the certificates from the exam board which usually happens shortly after results day.

Surely that can't be right as there are deadlines to meet, especially for scholarships.
