Suggest the likely effects on the circulatory system of the follwoing heart defects
i) a baby born with a hole in the wall between the right and left chambers of th eheart (hole in the heart) [2marks]

ii) valves (atrioventricular and semilunar) not working properly [2marks]



and if a patient suffers fibrillation, whatis the likely effect on the patient [1mark]

(i) im not sure..but i would have thought that circulation would still be the same but the respiring tissude would not get enough oxygen as the deoxygenated bood and the oxygenated blood would mix together.
(ii) Circulation would be reduced because of back flow of blood.
(iiii) If blood isn't pumped completely out of the heart, it may pool and clot. If a piece of a blood clot in the atria leaves the heart and becomes lodged in an artery in the brain, a stroke results.
