Yeah dipping into an overdraft seems like the best way to get through the first week, if you don't have any savings that is.

Student bank accounts are designed to provide an overdraft for exactly this type of situation.

You'll find that many undergrads rely on their overdrafts to get by. Sadly ft's just accepted as a normal way to cope when you're a student.

Quick update :

managed to work all the overdraft, credit card stuff for my first week. HOWEVER, I'm still not getting the full amount that I'm entitled to as I'm getting the mimimum £3610 or whatever it is, when I'm supposed to get the maximum amount as well as the grant that you don't have to pay back.

I've sent of all the evidence but they still haven't re-assessed my application so I'm stuck with this declaration which is giving me £1000 to live on for 3 months! Has anyone else had this problem?
