Edinburgh isn't as pretty but comparable. Not there any more it I assume it hasn't changed much. 4 platforms with rack, 4 deadlift spaces with rack, 4 power cage, 2 squat rack, 5 comp bench, countless DB bench, all bars eleiko, Texas or similar.

If I ever do a (real) masters then I'll expect similar but it seems plenty uni gyms are now at least above average.

Well, Loughborough Uni is a university that specialises in sports, so it is expected to have a large gym and running tracks etc.....so, I'm not really surprised.

It still is mediocre compared to USA college gyms that have funding out the a$$. And loughborough specializes in women's studies, srs.
What a **** looking gym. Too many horrible weights and things. Where are the treadmills etc? Aren't going to lose much weight was lboro that's for sure LOL

The gym at Birmingham City Perry Barr campus is atrocious, avoid at all costs. Will be finding a hardcore gym for next term.
lol no thanks. Brb working out next to students, much rather go to the gym that looks battered from the outside and has huge jacked guys. Thats what i learnt from my first year of sixth form.

Two aren't mutually exclusive if it's a good gym. Edinburgh has a lot of big and strong folk who aren't students because it's the best gym in the city.

This is definitely the highlight of lifting in FW1. All the same people that lifted when you were there are still there at the same times. :lol:
