Leeds lifelong learning centre only mature students?

I didn't get the grades i needed to get into my firm uni, so have gone through clearing. I applied to leeds to do business studies but with a foundation year. I have been having a look on their website thought and it only every mentions mature students? I wondered if majority of students are older? Only because i'm 18? My other option is sheffield hallam to do business economics, but Leeds is considered as a better uni.
Yes mature students are older, however you can learn a lot from their experience. We (Bradford College University Centre) offer an excellent degree in business management with specialist pathways in HR and Marketing. If you don't mind being 20 minutes from Leeds, the University of Bradford's Management Centre has a great reputation - Call the Clearing Hotline on 0300 023 0603 to see what's available.

I am doing the business studies with a foundation year and am 18, and from what ive been told it will be people from our age group so you don't have to worry to much bout mature students :smile:
Hi I applied for this course too in clearing. But they haven't responded as of yet. Did you get a verbal offer?

No, they said they would make a decision the next day around lunchtime but all my other clearing offers ran out at 5pm so I chose sheffield hallam! Leeds only emailed me this morning!

What did the email from leeds say?

I've got a week for my other offer. Im still waiting for leeds to respond. I applied early morning on friday.

Hi!

I'm hopefully going to be starting at the lifelong learning centre in September and although I am a mature student I'm only 23! If I'm honest it's nice to know there will be some younger students there too, I thought I'd be one of the youngest!!
I'd definitely choose Leeds over Sheffield, but I've lived near Leeds all my life so I am a little bit biased!!
