Never. You should always use protection unless your trying to make a baby- which as two chaps you may struggle to do so!

I don't think there's a given period of time. It's a risk-based decision that is more a factor of previous sexual history, medical screening and ongoing trust.

I can't add much more than the posters above. Unprotected sex is dangerous and brings a whole array of complications. As long as you have trust in the other person not to sleep around and you have both been tested for STD's then you could take the risk.

This question is a bit like asking "How long do I wait before giving lending a friend a large amount of money?" It's all risk related and depends on trust.

It's the same thing with man and woman - protection should be used if your having anal sex because of the risk of infection and also the very slim risk of pregnancy (obviously by sperm entering the vagina contrary to playground beliefs you can't get pregnant up the bum!!!!)
