Guys - I need your honest opinions. Why is this guy doing what he is doing to me??

I've known a guy online for a couple of years now. We discuss a lot of personal stuff and we are in love and have been for the past couple of yrs.

I've never been in any relationships before except with him but he's had an online relationship before (he tried to elope) and then he married some other lady and got divorced less than a year after marrying her. So he's a divorcee.
I can overlook those since he said he's a changed man etc and that he loves me

However in the past he had no problem committing. But now with me, he has commitment problems.
I am trustworthy, clean and loyal and he knows it. He also knows that I love him truly.

Yet he always says that he "doesn't want anybody"
And that "if" he marries it will be to me but that he "won't marry anybody"
He said he doesn't want anybody

We are believers of marriage btw


So guys , please can you decode this man for me please?
I will be grateful

I've never met him in person but we have plans to but not sure when
