Advicde on Business/ Management courses at Russel Group/very good Uni's

Hi,
Could anyone currently studying a business/management course at Uni give me advice on the courses available and what Uni's are best to studying these types of degrees. Preferably, I would like to go to a Russel Group Uni or a very good Uni if possible (allot of pressure :frown: )
Thank you very much !!!!!!!
Hi Faye,

Are you looking to start this September, or starting uni next year for 2015/16?

I can’t tell you which Uni is best to study at, but I am currently studying at the University of Salford, which is near Manchester, and I’m a rep for the Salford Business School here on The Student Room.

Salford have a number of business management courses the full list can be found on their website, which has links to the course pages - http://www.salford.ac.uk/business-school/business-management-courses/undergraduate

Please let me know if I can help in any way. If you are looking to start in September this year, there may still be some places left through Clearing the number is 0161 295 0080

Good luck!
Joyce

There are so many. Other factors may have a stronger influence, like where would you like to study (city or campus) as well as your current and predicted grades. Knowing those makes it easier to suggest. Right now, any suggestions can be just a shot in the dark.

I think it will be a matter of personal choice in the end as Lancaster is at the same level as Exeter.

Hi,

I study Business Management at Sheffield Uni in 2nd Year. In the Management School there are 3 types of course: Business Management (straight forward management), International Business Management (BM with a year abroad) and Financial Management which is accounting with management side notes such as organizational behavior and marketing.

Other unis, for example Sheffield Hallam do courses like Management with Marketing or Enterprise which may seem like a good idea but the Russel Group Unis have a much better course structure in terms of academia. In truth, you can specialise in marketing or enterprise in your 3rd year and get far more out of your degree than from a non-russell group uni. Call me biased but personally I think it's the best approach. Non-Russell group Unis do have a more vocational approach to the course but in my experience you can gain this sort of knowledge easily if you do things outside of your course such as social enterprise volunteering, research or university run activities relating to business such as competitions.

Message me if you want some other questions answered.
