Can you turn gay?

Okay so I have been straight ever since I first started getting attracted to girls but quite recently my sex drive has gone low and I find it hard to get an erection over anything. I have a beautiful girlfriend who I am very attracted to but I just don't have the drive and energy and the mindset in me anymore. I don't feel the same way about women anymore, like if I see a hot girl on the streets I wouldn't bother anymore. I have been weight training quite a lot recently and its become quite an hobby so I have been admiring some guys facial features and physiques. I am wondering if it is possible that I might be becoming gay? Is that even possible? Please help me.

Yes. Over time what you like changes. There is nothing wrong with it.
Yes, it is possible.
I wouldn't jump to any conclusions yet though, might just be a 'phase' don't put any pressure on yourself either way.

I hope it is but do you have any ideas of what I can do to take my mind off this?
I did, I never used to see men in that way and now, I cum faster to gay porn than normal, It's all about the body's changes and what the body gets its natural thrills from, I mean, try being gay, Give a friend a handjob or at the most a BJ, then you will see whether you like it or not. If not you can say you where experimenting, if yes, then there is your first boyfriend.

You say you go weight training etc. Do you take any protein shakes or are you on any new medication? Perhaps something is playing around with your hormones. (Which might explain the low sex drive/energy)

I think the majority of guys whether they'd admit it or not have gone through some stage of bi-curiosity. Whether it was a one off thought or a month long phase. So as has already been said, don't jump to any conclusions.

If you really think you could be bi/gay, perhaps try watching some gay porn and see if it turns you on?

How old are you? Perhaps it's just hormones? Puberty?

Most importantly don't let it worry you, don't think that because you find a guy attractive you have to come out gay and dump your girlfriend.
Take time to think about things! Don't rush into anything

Are you having anxiety about this? Like thinking you might be gay scares the **** out of you and you are obsessing every now and then?

I don't think its quite that simple, but sexuality can certainly be fluid. I've kind of gone the opposite direction, but consider myself more bi/pansexual overall because I know I have the capacity to love and be attracted to more than just male or female (though not polyamorously)

I used to take protein shakes and creatine and was on a few antibiotics for a while but all of that has stopped now.

No watching gay porn does not turn me on. Without being rude to anyone, I find it disgusting and I can't even watch it for more than 5 seconds.
I am 19 so that could explain it.
Whats frustrating me more is that it's causing further stress because I can't get hard for my girlfriend and it's messing up my sex life.

Yes it's scaring me a lot because I don't want to be gay :/

Yes it is possible!
I was full on straight, only ever liked guys. That was until I saw the most drop dead gorgeous girl behind the cashier at McDonald's. Turned me bi, I've never been the same since. I now have sexual attraction for both sexes, but only romantic feelings for males.
So I'm now a heteromantic bisexual.

I'm being deadly serious here.

Oh Lord, this is such a brilliantly composed message that everybody could relate to themselves! Having tackled on your message, I also find it quite possible to get attracted to both sexes all of a sudden. You can read Freud's theories and studies on sexuality which briefly examines the "nature" of our sexual desires as our mature games. The more mature we get, the better we see what we are attracted to - but this doesn't need to freak you as honestly I am totally against labeling any orientation especially in terms of emotions. So as the writer I quoted suggests, find where your heart beats fast in terms of emotions and love. And most importantly give yourself time and accept this phase as a natural affect of growing up.

I know a person is born gay but I seriously didn't know that a person can become gay later on in life. Not being rude. Just curious.

There's not actually any hard and fast evidence either way... its not that black and white, perhaps some, even most people are "born" gay, but perhaps for many, sexuality is fluid and not set in stone. Sexual attraction and love just aren't that simple. How can anyone outright deny the possibility, however small, that they might find themselves attracted to a person of the sex or gender they didn't expect.

Lol I'm not denying it. I just didn't know. Plus when I see a really fit girl in terms of body. The first thing that comes to my mind is that I want to be fit like her. So its not the same as I want her. Is it? :ninja:

I know... I'm just trying to explain it clearly.
And no, its not the same, but does that mean its impossible that you will ever feel like that??

Thanks.
I don't know. I'm 20 and all these years. I haven't been attracted to a girl romantically or sexually. Even though I might find girls hot. But its different with guys. I am both romantically and sexually attracted to them.
To my mind. If you can "turn" gay. Then you can "turn" straight. When people say they are gay, it's often very uncivilised if people say something like "why are you gay" or "that's disgusting" and its easy for such minded people to say those things because they think the other person can help it/they deranged their own sexuality.

Therefore if you assume you can turn gay then you can also assume you can turn straight and so all these unfounded criticism I just mentioned would be more widespread and applicable to many people's view on gay people.

let me know what you think of this.

OP said can you turn gay, not can you choose to be gay so this logic does not follow.
