would it be possible to transfer to Warwick Uni

Would it be possible to transfer to Warwick university second year economics or economics and politics from University of Manchester doing the same course
anyone
Extremely unlikely to no chance.

Manchester for BA Pol/Econ or BA Econ to Warwick BSc Econ is basically going from average to top. Unless you're talking about Manchester's BEconSc in which case maybe but still very unlikely.
No-one on here can give you a definite answer, as only Warwick admissions will really know. However, if as the above poster is suggesting, you would be aiming to transfer from a BA to a BSc, this may be difficult, as the modules covered in first year might be quite different.

You would be best contacting Warwick and asking them.

Very unlikely since Warwick is a much, much better uni.

It's interesting that you call Manchester average - how would you class Nottingham?

Manchester is strong in Physics, Engineering, Humanities, Biomed and Law among other more specialist things like Speech and Language Therapy.

I'd say they are average in the Social Sciences. I go there and do a joint honours with Economics. It's a very poor department where they try and shove as many students in as possible. Politics and Sociology are no better.

The BEconSc is one of Manchester strongest courses outside of the sciences and is well respected - the brightest economists at Manchester will be on this course.

The BAEcon is what I'm calling average. If OP is on this course as opposed to the BEconSc, he will struggle to transfer to Warwick. In any case, it will be very difficult to transfer to arguably the best uni in UK for Economics (alongside Cambridge and the LSE).

It depends so much on what you're studying. For maths, Warwick has far more recognition. For... say, materials science, Manchester does, they have 2 Nobel laureates and all that.

Edit: To be actually helpful, you could always do the Warwick Master's after?

http://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings/2013#sorting=rank+region=+country=+faculty=+stars=false+search=

manchester is 33

http://www.shanghairanking.com/ARWU2014.html

according to this manchester is 38

and warwick is 150-200

The thing is i want to move to another country so i will look at the most respected uni outside the UK

But warwick is also good but only in Uk due to high student satisfaction.

Warwick doesn't have particularly high student satisfaction. It scores lower in UK league tables than it should, compared to other unis that I've studied at (HWU, St Andrews namely) and that's almost purely due to student satisfaction.

It's also in the world top 25 (according to QS) for some subjects. There's no point looking at research rankings without looking at subject tables.
