Does linear mean no coursework?

So apparently the A Levels, starting with the year group who start the course in Sept 2015, will all be linear.

I understand that this means that the exams are all taken at the end of the course rather than at different points.

But, does this mean that there are no controlled assessments/ coursework?

*crosses fingers because I hate controlled assessments with a passion*
It means that you take all the exams at the end of the course
"Linear" doesn't mean that in itself although removal of coursework is another reform being brought in, so in all likelihood that will be the case (obviously dependent on subject).

There isn't an enormous amount AFAIK for A-levels now, with the exception of English which has an obscene amount just as it does at GCSE.
