Economics Work experience

Just got a 94% average in my 3 AS levels & want to study economics at university.

Where would I be able to gain valuable work experience that would enhance my university application?

Thanks in advance :-)

Banks, some allow you to work in their offices for a few weeks or firms.
Also, shadowing economists, or people in related professions.

Try the following websites for work experience opportunities:
Ratemyplacement
do-it.org

For Economics Personal Statement, read books by Economists and you can include them in your personal statement, and show you keep up to date with economics affairs

Hope that helps!

You don't need work experience to study economics and uni, that's more for jobs. The most important thing is grades, but it may be worthwhile to do work experience if you can positively mention it in your personal statement, but it must be relevant to economics. For instance, interning at the bank of england would be a pretty good super-curricular activity.
