What are some of the best societies and sport clubs at York?
For those of you who have studied at York...what are some of the most active and interesting societies there, and what sport clubs are best for beginners to join? I'm starting an M.Sc., and although I won't have much time during the week, I'd like to join a few clubs to meet some friends since I don't know anyone in York. I'm also looking to join a sport, but I've never been very athletic so I would be at the baby beginner level.
Some of the ones I think look interesting are: PhysSoc, MathsSoc, Scandinavian Soc, Rowing, gliding, darts, among others.
