Can you achieve an A* after resits

Hi All,

I was told by a teacher at my school that it is not possible to achieve an A* after doing resits.

I did my a-levels this year and got a deferred offer. But I want to improve my grades for job purposes.

So if I do a resit next year and achieve a 90% average in my A2 units, can I get an A*?

Thanks peeps

If you average 90% across the A2 units, and achieve A grade in all AS units (i.e. 80%) then that is an A*, there is no technicality to prevent you from getting A* just because you are resitting.

Possibly what your teacher is trying to say is that if you did poorly the first time you may not be able to pull your marks up enough to get an A*, but that is up to you!
