How to write a report for maths?

Greetings

I have a summer investigation homework from my sixthform. It's a simple yet interesting problem and I have to prove something.

I've done all the work for the proof, but I don't know how to write a report in maths as I've never been taught how to or done one.

If you could kindly suggest me the structure of a simple maths report, I will greatly appreciate it.

Many thanks.

Algebric. It's to do with simultaneous equations using an arithmetic series as it's supposed to be a fun preparation for AS mathematics.
It is titled as an investigation but it took me 30 mins to do the whole thing except the writing up part which I haven't done.
