Freshers wristbands worth it?

I was just wondering what people's opinions were about buying a freshers wristband vs just paying on the door. On one hand, they seem expensive, especially if you don't plan on going to every single event, but on the other it would be nice to know my entry to all the events is already pre-paid for.

What is everyone else doing?
