Der Vorleser - Essay help

I've been asked to read the book "Der Vorleser" over summer. I'm struggling to understand it so I have read the English book and watched the film which will hopefully help.
I was asked to plan some past paper questions, but I am struggling with this one:
"Das Vorlesen spielt eine grosse Rolle nich nur in Hannas, sondern auch in Michaels Leben." Inwiefern bist du auch dieser Meinung ?
Does any one have any advice on what sort of things I could write about?
Any help would be appreciated!
